The Lynnwood Convention Center presents “Eight from Artech” an exhibition of works by Northwest artists that shows through Dec. 31.

A reception for the exhibit will be 7-9 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 11 at the convention center. It's free and open to the public. For more information, call 425.778.7155 or email info@lynnwoodcc.com.

The artists are Robert Fitzgerald, Julia Greenway, Mike Hascall, Bojo Lawrence, Dave Proscia, Scott Travis, Kathryn Trigg, and Catherine Uehara.

They all also work as art handling professionals at the famous Seattle company Artech. Founded in 1977 by a group of artists, Artech has become the region's premier art handling and collection management company. Artech regularly helps with the art installations at local museums, public spaces, and private collections.

Today, Artech still employs many artists, and in 2009, the well known Seattle art supporter and collector, Bagley Wright, honored the artists with an exhibit at his own gallery, The Wright Exhibition Center.
