Tomorrow, Oct. 30, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., attend the Horrific Zombie Film Fest in the Black Box Theatre at Edmonds Community College!
Showcasing finalists from the Bellingham
film festival, Bleedingham, the Horrific Zombie Film Fest features short films
that highlight the bloodcurdling creativity of Washington State filmmakers who
specialize in the spooky. The films featured at the Black Box are the official
selection from Bleedingham where Bloodies (trophies) are awarded by a panel of
non-participating judges for Best Effects, Best Story, Best Sound Design, Best Cinematography,
Best Editing, and Most Unique Film. In partnership with the Washington State
Studio Network, these films from Bellingham and beyond are guaranteed to thrill
and chill. Tickets are $5,
available online and at the door.
Official Selections:
“Bath Spice” - With all the synthetic drugs
coming out these days at the local head shops, one man wonders who the wizard
behind the curtain is? Produced by Bleedingham productions.
“Blood Roulette,” Winner of Best Editing and
Sound Design- A
night shift nurse returns home to find her boyfriend acting strangely and
dangerously. Produced by
Blood Roulette.
“Her
Her Him”- A rough, scoreless cut of a horror short.
“I am Fine,” Winner
of Most Unique Film-
A young man struggles with schizophrenia and his inability to admit that his
over-reliance on medication and solitude are driving him deeper in psychosis. Produced
by Tyler Downing Films.
“Repeater”- A young
man wakes up in the middle of nowhere with no recollection of how he got there.
He finds an old gravel road and follows it, not realizing the danger he faces
ahead or the evil he will awaken. Produced by Wasted Talent Films.
“Shadow
Nights,” Winner
of Best Effects and Cinematography- After
years of battling deep depression, Kelly Rogers must finally face her greatest
fear, solitude, when her ex-boyfriend comes back in town. The Bellingham Underground.
“Screamin Demon,” Winner of Best Directing - A sound designer finds out why people are
literally dying of fright. *
“Squirrels from Hell”- 2D animation short. Produced
by Flaming Abortion.*
“The Chicken Man”- A severely emotionally
challenged boy receives 4 chickens for his birthday from his mother, just
before she is murdered. He later learns
some tricks on how to make "special" food for his chickens. Produced
by 13-year-old KKJ. *
“Tyro” Winner of Best Story- Woman copes with a less than idea
relationship with her husband. Produced by Cobra Kai.
“Zombie
at the Disco”- A group of young adults leave a house party and head
to the local bar for a fun night when they run into unexpected friendships,
stress and turmoil. Produced by Snuggle House Productions.
“Zombe’
DIEm”- What happens to the children left behind during a
zombie apocalypse? Produced by the "How to Make a Zombie Movie" Class.
Zombin Ladin- Osama Bin Laden's corpse
becomes a re-animated zombie, bent on infecting the world.*
